K. Alexandra Monaco has been a licensed attorney in Nevada since 2005 and Arizona in 2006 and has concentrated her practice in immigration and family law. Alexandra represents individual clients and families before the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services, the Immigration Court, Family Court and Appellate Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals as well as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Alexandra is also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. She also represents businesses before the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services, the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals as well as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Alexandra attended Simon’s Rock of Bard College, a small liberal arts college designed for gifted students who typically begin college after only the 10th grade. Alexandra began attendance at age 16. She also joined Mensa and International Mensa, societal organizations whose only requirement for membership is an IQ in the top 2% of the world population, that same year. Alexandra finished her Bachelor’s Degree at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, with Honors, placing on the Dean’s List every semester. She later obtained a post-baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate at Adelphi University, a Master’s Degree in Psychology and the attended Boston University School of Law for her law degree with a concentration in litigation and alternate dispute resolution.
Alexandra began her legal career in New York City handling complex business litigation. She went on to handle the merger of two one hundred attorney firms. In 2003 she relocated to Las Vegas when her husband retired and decided snow was no longer a necessity in his life! After a few years of international travel she decided to return to the work force. Alexandra began her Las Vegas legal career at Moran & Associates, but quickly moved to Prudhomme Law Office, an immigration firm. Being from an immigrant family herself, she found immigration is where her heart truly lies. In January 2007, she founded The Monaco Law Group, Ltd. and has been expanding the services provided to her clients ever since.
Ms. Monaco is a member of the Nevada State Bar, the Arizona State Bar, the Nevada Justice Association (formerly Nevada Trial Lawyer’s Association), the Clark County Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyer’s of America, the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, Mensa & International Mensa, the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association, National, Nevada & Arizona Chapters and is a Board Member and the Treasurer of the Nevada Chapter American Immigration Lawyer’s Association.
